인생은 살아가는 그 자체가 무거운 짐이다.
SNS에는 저마다 자신의 가장 행복한 순간을 찍어서 올리지만 현실의 삶은 늘 행복한 순간이 가득한 것은 아니다.
모두들 각자의 무거운 삶의 짐을 지고 살아가고 있다. 그것이 인간관계이든, 경제적 문제이든, 건강의 문제이든...
문제가 없는 인생은 없다. 인생이란 것이 문제 덩어리다.
이런 의미에서 우리는 예수님이 하셨던 말씀을 떠올린다.
"수고하고 무거운 짐 진 자들아 다 내게로 오라 내가 너희를 쉬게 하리라"
이 말씀의 의미를 생각해보자.
예수님을 믿는다고 모든 인생의 짐이 사라지는가? 모든 인생의 고통이 사라지는가?
절대 그렇지 않다.
예수님을 믿고 신앙생활해도 언제나 우리의 삶에는 고통과 아픔이 있다. 인생의 무거운 짐이 있다.
예수님이 알라딘의 램프에서 나오는 요정 지니처럼 우리의 인생의 짐을 순식간에 사라지게 하시지 않는다는 것이다.
그렇다면 이 말씀의 의미는 어떻게 받아들여야 하는가? 예수님이 거짓말을 하셨는가?
첫번째, 예수님은 우리의 죄의 짐을 없애 주실수 있다. 바로 구원의 문제이다.
우리는 스스로 나의 죄를 없애고 무결하고 순수한 존재가 될 수 없다.
아무리 참선을 하고 도를 닦아도 우리의 죄는 여전히 그대로 남아 있다.
인간 스스로는 죄를 씻을 수가 없는 것이다.
영화의 한 장면이 떠오른다. 화성에 간 지구인들이 화성탐사를 마치고 기지로 돌아올때 기지의 입구를 거치면서 '촤악~'하고 방역가스가 우주복을 씻어준다. 온갖 화성의 해로운 먼지와 바이러스등을 완전히 씻어 주는 것이다.
그러면 안전한 기지로 들어갈 수 있다.
마찬가지다. 인간의 죄를 가지고는 순수 무결한 하나님의 나라, 천국에 들어갈 수 없다.
천국이란 것 자체가 죄가 0.000000000000001 % 라도 있어서는 들어갈 수 없는 하나님의 무균실이다.
어떻게 감히 죄를 가지고 그곳에 들어갈 수 있겠는가? 꿈도 꾸지 마라!
그러나 그곳을 들어갈 수 있는 단 한가지의 방법이 있다.
그것은 바로 예수님의 피다. 예수님께서 우리의 죄를 대신해서 십자가에서 흘리신 피는 우리의 죄를 완전히 없애 주신다.
예수님은 순전 무결하신 하나님의 아들이시다. 그분은 죄가 없으신 분이다. 죄가 없으신 하나님의 아들의 순전무결한 피가
십자가 상에서 떨어져 그분을 하나님의 아들로 믿고 영접하는 자들에게 죄씻음의 효력이 발생하게 되었다.
이것이 바로, 인생의 짐, 바로 씻을 수 없었던 죄악을 가지고 가시는 예수님의 초청의 메세지인 것이다!
'수고하고 무거운 죄의 짐을 가지고 가는 인생들아. 나를 믿고 죄씻음을 받고 구원을 얻으라' 그리하면 쉼을 얻으리라
두번째는 바로 마음의 평안이다.
요한복음 14:27 평안을 너희에게 끼치노니 곧 나의 평안을 너희에게 주노라 내가 너희에게 주는 것은 세상이 주는 것과 같지 아니하니라 너희는 마음에 근심하지도 말고 두려워하지도 말라 |
예수님은 세상의 온갖 고통의 짐으로 가득한 우리의 마음에 진정한 평안, Peace를 주신다.
물론 서두에서 언급했듯이 예수님을 믿는다고 해서 인생의 모든 고통이 사라지는 것은 아니다. 이 세상을 사는 것 자체가 고통이기 때문에, 왜냐면 이 세상은 죄가 들어와 인간들이 고통 받을 수 밖에 없게 된 구조이다.(아담의 범죄)
세상은 죄로 오염되었다. 인간의 탐욕은 이 세상을 죄로 오염시키고 파괴하게 되었다.
인간의 욕심과 탐욕으로 지구의 자연환경은 철저히 파괴되어가고 그 덕분에(?) 모든 전염병들이 돌게 되었다. 짐승에게 걸렸던 바이러스가 인간에게도 옮겨지게 되고 고통받게 되었다. 결국 하나님이 주신 평화의 세상을 우리가 죄로 물들이고 오염시킨 것이다.
그래서 오늘을 사는 우리는 이 죄로 가득한 고통의 세상을 사는 것이다. 그것은 얼마나 힘든 일인가!
그러므로 우리는 마음의 안식이 필요하다. 마음의 안식은 어떻게 얻을 수 있는가?
쇼핑을 해서? 독서를 해서? 요가와 명상? 힐링? 차박? 캠핑? 스포츠?
이런 것들로는 일시적인 안식을 얻는다. 그러나 영원할 수 없다.
그러나 예수님은 우리 마음에 찾아오셔서 절대 안식을 주실 수 있다!
마음에 짐처럼 여겨졌던 것을 예수님께 말씀드리며 기도하면 예수님이 우리 마음에 평화를 선물해 주신다.!
그것은 정말 믿기지 않을 정도이다!
정말 나를 괴롭혔던 그 문제가 이제는 아무것도 아닌 것처럼 느껴지는 평화의 상태!
그것을 예수님이 해 주실수 있다는 말이다!
그러므로 우리는 마음의 짐으로 고생할 때 예수님께 나아가 기도하면 된다! 그러면 예수님이 그 문제를 맡아 주신다!
